3.5 stars, let's say, for the original emotional intelligence book.
Each chapter consists largely of a string of anecdotes to illustrate the point, but honestly, I rather liked that compared to modern EQ books' pop psychology pretensions alluding to ~*~studies~*~ that they don't cite, which like to provide really specific numbers but no exploration of where those numbers come from. Quite honestly, the advice here felt a lot less manipulative, too...lots of common sensical golden rule and 'unders ...more
