the last 40 or so pages are nuts. i cant imagine trying to reckon with some of the ideas in this when i was a kid. big loved
This was a very difficult book to review, partly because it seems like so much happens throughout the novel, yet it's all pointed to an event that doesn't become clear until near the end of the book. I found that there were certain aspects of the book that really got my attention, such as anything to do with the bears and some of the witch parts, but a lot of it felt very bogged down. I just didn't like it, as a kid or as an adult. I guess the plot just seemed too contrived, and the whole daemon concept just feels creepy.
