Here's what I wrote about Spinning Silver for Two Bossy Dames back in August:

Last summer, I read Naomi Novik’s Uprooted, which was great. 2021 Bingo - First Person (H)

There are a lot of things to love about this story! The three main plots were woven together very nicely, and at points where they came together, (view spoiler) I was grinning and on the edge of my seat. It was a slow ramp up, but once things really got going I didn't want to stop listening.

It was a treat to listen to this as an audiobook. As other reviewers have said, a novel that features young women with agency, with nods to fairy tales including Rumplestiltskin and 1000 Arabian Nights swirling around in there - what's not to love! I am a fan of the Overdue podcast and they covered this recently, kindly giving listeners a cue before they spoiled it, since the book is so recent. You should go and read this. If you are a fantasy reader. If you like fairy tales. If you enjoy reading about level headed women that save themselves.

I think I loved this even more than Uprooted. Took me a minute to get into it, but once I did I was hooked. So good!

Beautiful storytelling, amazing worldbuilding. Only downside was the obligatory romantic coupling at the end.
