I thoroughly enjoyed this book, but its been years since I read it. I personally related to the narrator of the book, Gene. You will too if you've ever been a quiet person that tends to fade into the background of life sometimes. The story of two friends in a private high school will make you feel the difficulties of adolescence and fall in love with Knowles depiction of the beautiful countryside setting. ...more
