Welcome to the worst book I've read this year. It had been a good while since I've read a horror novel and when I bought this (based on an article about great modern horror novels on Book Riot) I was lookinging forward to something half decent. Sadly that was not to be.
I almost gave it up within the first 30 pages, such was the poverty of the writing and the resolute unbeliveableness of the characters, but I have a strong distaste for not following through on books I've started so I ploughed on. ...more
