A beautiful new translation of the Odyssey. very readable, with an extensive introduction and an incredibly useful names and places glossary with pronunciations at the back.

I absolutely love this translation. I finished it and then immediately reread it hand-in-Hand-in-hand with both the Fitzgerald and Fagles translations. It's not a competition, there isn't a one best version, but this one certainly stands up there as my current favorite. Well done! ...more
