The magic system is amazing and I love the idea of several London's sitting on top of each other like pages in a book. However, I felt as the book went on that the ideas and the world of the book was amazing but the execution of them went downhill.

The writing isn't the most complex or overly descriptive but the story is interesting enough to get you through. I would recommend this for middle school to early high school. Not overly complex and the ending comes so quick that you barely know what happened.

A fun bit of classic fantasy. Not exactly my cup of tea, but I can think of a lot of people I'd recommend it to. As the first in a trilogy, the ending is a bit weak, but hopefully the next book will make up for that.
