I've had this book on my to-read list for years, and I FINALLY got around to it. It's probably the book that most of my Goodreads friends have in common, and nearly everyone gave it 4 and 5 star reviews.

Really, REALLY slow to start due to the massive amount of worldbuilding, and I found many of the fight scenes tedious (imagine trying to describe any fight scene in A:TLA in words and that’s basically what they all are; I ended up skimming most of them). But the last 200~ pages had me completely riveted, and by the time the book ended I was nearly screaming in excitement.
