The movie - which I love - ruined the book for me
Oh, for the love of Coffee, this Book!
It is a very difficult task trying to review this book because what can I say that hasn't been said already?
Yes, this book is blatantly racist. But because this is the story of the people who fought the American Civil War from the Confederate side, I wasn't really surprised.
And because of the racism I found it very difficult to sympathise with this characters.
