This is timeless and provocative. It smacks the reader in the face with hard to stomach realities but it’s also engaging writing that kept my interest from start to finish. It’s accessible science fiction and readable racism, layered and powerful storytelling.

My only gripe, and it’s minor, but I wish there was more context to the time travel. Everyone just seemed to very readily accept it, “oh you’re here again cool, boop there you go again” I have to think there was a time she would’ve been bu
