A fantastic beginning! Rowling does an incredible job of introducing Harry, a likable protagonist who you just can't help but root for, and cleverly allows her readers to experience the wonder of her imaginative magical world through his eyes as he experiences so much for the first time. Since I have previously read the entire series, it was very fun to revisit the first book knowing all of what happens afterward and on the lookout for details that end up paying off later, of which there are man

Loved it. A great introduction to an excellent series.

I read this book while listening to the audio at the same time and I while I had thought I had read the book, I really hadn't, as I found passages in the book that I had basically glanced over the first four or five times that I have read this book. I can't exactly recall what I missed, but there were quite a few portions of the book that I clearly had missed as I listened to the book. As to t ...more
