Reread January 2017: I love that I get to study this again, not once but twice this semester. This time, I've learned more about the historical context and social changes, and I focused more on the symbols and the language and, in addition to Gatsby's projected image of Daisy and romanticization of the past and obsession with a particular plan, I saw how he and the other characters try to project a certain image of themselves. Nick is also a very interesting character.
