Despite the fact that this took me almost 2 months to read, I really enjoyed it. There are a lot of similarities to the excess of the 1920s to what happened in the late 1990s, early 2000s with a lot of people living "high off the hog". The story was a little dull at times and there were a few times in which I had to back track and reread what I had read in order to so that I wouldn't miss anything. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (2004)
Had to reread this 'cause pretty soon my American Literature juniors will be reading it. I didn't really remember it from high school and now I remember why... it's kinda slow and nothing interesting happens until the last two chapters. Oh what fun my juniors will have!
