An intriguing psychological thriller about obsession; I recently rewatched the 1999 film adaptation and thought that reading the source material would be a valuable experience. The movie is excellent and nicely streamlines the plot, but Highsmith does such a wonderful job of digging deep within Ripley's damaged psyche and capturing his attachment to Dickie as well as his paranoia during the second half.
