In casually browsing through the Goodread reviews of this novel, I have to admit that I am more than majorly disheartened. For the simple reason that, after much thought and struggling with coming to this conclusion, this is currently my most favorite book.

I'm going to just say that I have read this book, because I am less than 100 pages from the end but I just. can't. finish. it.

Why do we have to follow five generations of a family who are all named the same handful of names? Think that might make the story a little confusing? I haven't made any progress in this book in weeks and I am just going to quit. sooooo disappointed; I had heard such good things. ...more
