Lord of the Flies was the first book published by William Golding in 1954 and that has won the Nobel prize for literature in 1983. A classic that is still a very close picture of modern society as much as it was in 1954.

During World War II, many children in England were evacuated for safe places, away from the combat area. During one of those evacuations, a plane crashes and the only survivors are children, that find themselves stranded in a desert island.
