One of the most unique books that I've ever read. Haddon does a fantastic job of presenting the story from Christopher's perspective and showcasing the details of how his autistic mind works. It was interesting to see not only how autism would affect a teenager's daily life, but the difficulties that it would bring to a murder investigation. I loved this book. I know it was written differently to show the mind of a child with Asperger syndrome. However, I just liked the straight forward, detailed way it was written. I actually listened to this on tape, so I am not sure if reading it would have been a much different experience.

Maybe this is naive but I would rather read a book that inspires. I loved the idea to narrate a book through the eyes of an autistic boy. I felt that he did a good job of it. I didn't like any of the characters (may have liked Siobhan if I knew her in real life, but in the book she was just a reference now and then). Didn't love the plot.

I kept turning the pages expecting this book to get better and before I knew it, there were no more pages to turn and it still hadn't gotten better...
