I'm not sure it's really my thing, but it certainly gave some food for thought. I think it'd be good for a bookclub or class, because I'm having trouble making sense of it/processing my thoughts. But I like the internal monologues and how honest and realistic the thoughts and reactions of characters can be, how weird it is to be thrust into a situation with a diverse group of people gathered for a common aim but with nothing else in common. I can't understand why the Netflix series even carries the same name. The two stories are wildly different. I couldn't wait for this book to end. It was boring, and the characters were boring clichés. ...more
