What Members Thought
I loved this one. A horror story with an intricate literary bent and beautiful prose. But also a story about insecurity and lack of agency. It deftly toggles between the real and maybe-not-so real, the direct and indirect, between belonging and isolation, reality and surreality. An anxious and psychologically draining work, with surprising touches of absurdity and comic relief throughout (love that Mrs Dudley!). I imagine this one will hold up well to rereading.
A. Surprisingly spooky! I found myself desperately anxious to read through some of the passages in this book. Great read!
I really enjoyed this spooky book. I'm going to have to reread the ending in a print version though....im confused....
