This is probably the hardest book I've read to date. It definitely took me the longest. Infinite Jest is a lengthy and complex work that takes place in a semi-parodic future version of North America, and touches on tennis, substance addiction and recovery programs, depression, child abuse, family relationships, advertising and popular entertainment, film theory, and Quebec separatism, among other topics.

I'm never going to finish reading this book. I keep trying, and every time my eyes glaze over and I find myself reading the same paragraph over and over because my mind keeps wandering.
