It's always nice to return to this old friend and I am in need of comfort reads this month.
For the first time I listened instead of reading and this version, read by the twelfth Doctor, was so well done! I'm not sure what his inspiration was for the accents of the different rabbits as well as birds, mice, etc. but they made each character stand out. While I've always enjoyed reading the hard copy of this novel I would highly recommend the audio. ...more

When I was about seven years old, I watched the animated movie of "Watership Down," and I was very disturbed by the images I saw. There was a lot of blood, a lot of cute fluffy rabbits killing each other,so I was pretty hesitant about reading the novel.
