The Phantom Tollbooth was written in 1961 and it is considered a classic children’s book. Why have I not heard of it?? I asked around at my son’s school and many mums hadn’t heard of it either. Now, I am aware this is inconclusive, flimsy research but it doesn’t sound like that this book falls into the well-known books category like, say, Roald Dahl stories…

What I can tell you conclusively is that this book is so entertaining,
