I missed the window for this book. I'm too old for this to be romantic, the characters and their choices just annoy me. I like it better than Wuthering Heights though. Jane is much more likable than Catherine. I can see how she was an early feminist hero. She at least stands up to Rochester, even if she goes back to him eventually. Give me some Jane Austen any day over any gothic work during a similar time. ...more
