What Members Thought
First of all, it was an interesting idea for a book. Stranded on tropical island with only what you can scavenge from his destroyed ship. However, the parts that dragged this down for me was the repetition. At one point he describes what he did for the first 4 years stranded on the island. He then proceeds to show his journal... which just describes what he did the first 4 years on the island again. Repeatedly get his mental thoughts on religion, which is fine the first time, but it goes on and

Oh, Robinson Crusoe was boring, too boring to actually finish though I sure tried to keep going. I can see where in it's day, it would have been exciting, but the endless rambling and page after page of nothing much really happening was more than I could take.

Liked the book, quite funny at times ("My man Friday" and "Christian food"), but I didn't really like the ending - too long and drawn out, would have been better if it ended when he left the island.
