Man this book is a monster (HA!). I initially struggled to get in to the story because there are a bunch of characters introduced across two time lines. However, once I got about a third of the way through things felt like they really got rolling.

I shun horror on principle. I've never been able to handle it.
But low and behold, I find myself on winter break with a decided mission to not binge-watch Netflix the entire time. So I picked up this book upon seeing its huge 1100 page mass sitting on my brother's bookshelf. I knew I had to attempt to read it.
