Thoroughly satisfying whodunit. The characters are slightly recognizable from The Casual Vacancy, and they all work better in this genre. We expect shallow celebrity and human awfulness surrounding the cutthroat entertainment industry, not to mention a crime. Gumshoe Cormoran Strike is not entirely unbelievable (unlike protagonists in similar works) and I liked him more knowing he is a veteran.
