This was an interesting one for me. We follow the life of Okonkwo, an Igbo man who lives to be a “strong man”, different from his father, who was “weak”, and strives to be a titled man in his village. This novel is written with an outsider-looking-in kind of perspective; rituals are explained, traditions are described minutely, and belief systems are laid out.
