One can't help but see the connection between LOTR and the fantasy that has followed. It is the quest of Frodo and faithful Sam to destroy the one ring. And no matter how many times I read it, I am consumed with that journey and the combination of fate, will, luck and pluck that is required to return it to the fires of Mount Doom. And I am endlessly delighted by the rest of the book in which truly not much else happens but celebration. ...more
