I really enjoyed rereading this book. When I originally read 1984 in highschool, I remember focusing on how technology was used to spy on Winston. The telescreens are the most obvious example of how Big Brother uses technology to obliterate individual privacy.

However, what struck me most about 1984 this time was the psychological parts of the book. The way doublethink allows people to go along with Big Brother was super interesting to me. This meant Big Brother could make "2+2=5". Characters lik
