I put off reading this book for so long, after attempting it sometime in my early teens and not making more than a few pages in. This time, though, as soon as I started reading it, I knew it begged to be read aloud. (I didn't, which accounts for the speed I finished it. I still might do the read-aloud, though, since my boyfriend also wants to read it soon.) I LOVE the narrative voice, the character of Bilbo and Gandalf and the dwarfs.
