Just couldn't put this one down. And I know, ignoring the time travel, I was constantly reminded of the improbability of an almost-modern-day woman being able to slip, largely unnoticed, into society 200 years before her time. It really annoyed me that OF COURSE she had taken up botany as a hobby shortly before moving to a society where she would need to hunt and find her own medicines, and OF COURSE she would have had and remembered a conversation with a patient who trained dogs about how to su

Liked the premise, liked the writing. The relationship between Jamie and his torturer didn't feel authentic and sex scenes seemed unnecessarily detailed.
