The story starts off describing the small town of Holcomb, Kansas, and the all the particular details of the Clutter's family's last day/night alive. Reading this part was so eerie, because you know what is going to happen, you just don't want it to. The Clutters had such normal lifes, but I could still have read about them forever. Wow. Excellent read, moves along quickly and is as frightening as a four person murder can be. The callousness of the killers, the picture of the "Last Laugh," and the chilling atmosphere of Garden City and Holcomb are on-point. Would recommend this to anyone who enjoys true-crime. Not as "flashy" as I thought it would be, since I saw Capote. Amazing he got the conversations he did with the number of people he did.
