Throughout the first half of this book I kept thinking 'so what is the point of this book; this could never happen'. Then I remembered how throughout human history the majority of societies have been oppressive to women and even today there are a plethora of cultures that treat women as inferiors. I think some obnoxious hateful people (on both sides of the issue) have given Feminism bad connotations.
