I know that I am VERY far behind the hype for this book. People have been recommending it to me forever now, and I just got around to checking it out this year. In fact I didn’t finish it very long ago in fact.

During the first section I was thinking, I understand why this was popular, but...eh. Then I got to the second section and it was game on. Then I couldn't put it down. I'm not giving it five stars though, because she worked herself up to a really unsatisfying ending.

2023 Edit: Created an adaptations shelf to comment on books that are adapted or tie-in to other media. I think I saw the movie first in this case, and it holds up extremely well against the book. Not sure this is a case where a person needs to experience both, but I'd definitely recommend either one ...more
