This book was a very pleasant surprise for me. I honestly went in to Pride and Prejudice expecting it to be a slog. I haven't read Jane Austin before and I assumed this book was just a straight-forward romance.

Edit: Finally got myself this clothbound Penguin Classics, and is soooo beautifuuuul! I love it!
Still an amazing classic.
Miss Austen, as always, very eloquent on the commentary about the society that surrounded her.
I'm realizing that the more I re-read this book, the more I'm loving it.
If you're hesitant on reading classics, this is a great book to start: vocabulary very easy to understand and plot fairly fun to keep you engaged! Please read it! ...more
