It took me a long while to read this book. I think I first attempted to read it when I was sixteen. Having had little to no dating experience, I didn't find the book interesting.
Six years later, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I possessed a familiarity with the plot, having watched the movie and BBC adaptations. The humor of the book is very British. Edit: Finally got myself this clothbound Penguin Classics, and is soooo beautifuuuul! I love it!
Still an amazing classic.
Miss Austen, as always, very eloquent on the commentary about the society that surrounded her.
I'm realizing that the more I re-read this book, the more I'm loving it.
If you're hesitant on reading classics, this is a great book to start: vocabulary very easy to understand and plot fairly fun to keep you engaged! Please read it! ...more
