This is a book that everyone says you should read at least once. I tried a few times to start reading it but, since I wasn't familiar with the time period, I got confused often and I would give up pretty early on. Then I had to read it for a book club so I was forced to finish it. And oh boy, I'm so glad I did.

It took me a long while to read this book. I think I first attempted to read it when I was sixteen. Having had little to no dating experience, I didn't find the book interesting.

Six years later, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I possessed a familiarity with the plot, having watched the movie and BBC adaptations. The humor of the book is very British.
