What Members Thought

This was a somewhat slow-moving read which didn't bother me in the least. The language was choppy, as if Griet's words were being translated from Dutch. At the beginning this lent it a measure of authenticity. About half-way through it began to grate on me. By the end I had grown accustomed to it and didn't really notice. The ending was unexpected, slightly anti-climactic and very satisfying (all descriptions that may sound at odds, but if you've read it I think you'll understand). Looking back
