I wasn't sure if I would like this book or not, since I don't typically like non-fiction books. But she was funny throughout the book. I borrowed the audio book from my library and I'm glad they had her read it - otherwise I think it would have been weird. The nice bonus was that you got to listen to the sketch she did on Saturday Night Live about Sarah Palen (ignore the spelling error please). The downside to the audio book was the fact that she would refer to pictures (PDF) you go, I guess, wh ...more

Tina Fey has a great sense of humor and this was a great autobiography / humor book. So nice that she narrated the audiobook herself. I really loved the behind the scenes details of her work at Second City, SNL, thoughts on motherhood, and especially her reaction to the Sara Palin parodies.

Less funny were the mumbled footnote type things that were inserted every once in a while. More specifically, I would have liked them if she'd spoken in a normal voice, but didn't because I couldn't hear them

I listened to the audiobook from the library for this, it adds a lot since Tina Fey herself narrates, doing impressions and sarcastic voices and all that.

There are some interesting insights into 30 Rock and SNL, but a lot of the book deals with her growing up as a young woman and is written to be relatable to other women, and while it was entertaining in parts, I definitely felt like I was missing something since I'm outside of the target audience.

A lot of her jokes are borderline uncomfortably

It had it's fun, it had it's wisdom. But i feel like this book is meant for people of her generation, or at the very least, who know more usa pop culture than me. And i know a lot. However, I did laugh out loud at least fifteen times. But most of the book were jokes which i couldn't get because i didn't know who those people were, and i has too lazy to google them up. It does has it's wise moments (towards the ending particularly) and i think it might be very helpful for young actricess and acto ...more

Super funny. I usually listen to books on double time but Tina Fey speaks so quickly that I listened to this in normal time and even then I finished this in one day. In my defense, I did more laundry, stroller pushing and driving that day than usual- all great book listening activities.

Even though I am giving this 4 stars I have to qualify it by saying there was a significant amount of language in this book. She even used a certain word that I don't think I've ever come across in my reading lif

Listened to the audiobook, performed by Fey herself, and it was excellent. She even had the audio of her SNL skit with Amy Poehler, where they parodied Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton, included as it became part of the story.

Hilarious! Outstanding audiobook, though sometimes I forgot whether I was reading this or Yes Please. Either way, enjoyed it tons.
