Cat's Cradle is absolutely bonkers as far as plot goes, but it manages to provide hilarious satire on a number of topics close to my heart: father-child relationships where the father is a famous scientist, science and innovation directed for warfare, and (dis)organized religion. That said, I'm quite doubtful of the book's broad appeal. It's so so weird, but I guess it is Kurt Vonnegut after all.

Vonnegut has a really interesting writing style. I enjoyed this, but it was pretty dark.
