I enjoyed this book less than I expected. having seen the movie, i was familiar with the general story, and after reading so many glowing reviews I thought I would love it.
however, I thought it started at a glacial pace. I also didn't enjoy some of the tangents the story goes down, especially the Islam, Hindu, Christianity trifecta. I just found these to be super slow and boring.
