this is the sort of book that creeps up on you - it's good from page one, opening with the haunting lines 'Lydia is dead. But they don't know this yet.' - but it isn't until you delve deeper and deeper into the story that you begin to appreciate just what a masterclass in storytelling this is. this is one of the most brilliantly conceived, intricately crafted character studies that i've ever read. th ...more

About as close to a perfect book as you can get. This is one that will stick with me for a very, very long time.
speechless. reading this was like slowly ripping my own heart to shreds, valve by valve.
