Summer Sky is a story of two people meeting at a time when they were escaping from reality and hoping to find themselves in the process.

Sky seemed to think too much of sleeping with Dylan, or obsessed about his body. Granted, Dylan was hot and I would probably be thinking the same thing (lol), but I just felt like all her inner ramblings were about that topic alone. Oh boy, This book frustrated the heck out of me!

Dylan and Skye first meet when Dylan runs into the back of Skye's car when she is on her way to her Grandmothers holiday let to get away from it all, not only is things going from bad to worse but the arrogant guy wearing shades and driving an expensive car really rubs her up the wrong way. When he reaches for his glove compartment, Skye takes off thinking he could have a gun.

Skye arrives at the holiday let ready to unwind and relive some of her Oh boy, This book frustrated the heck out of me!

Skye arrives at the holiday let ready to unwind and relive some of her childhood memories in the place she loved as a child then she discovers her Grandmother has booked the cottage out and it's none other than the arrogant guy she has just fled from.

An interesting start, I was intrigued, Dylan is also hoping to get away from it all, he isn't nursing a break up like Skye but he claims he needs a break in the place where he also used to stay with his family as a boy.

Dylan and Skye come to a compromise and agree to stay at the cottage together and re-live their childhood memories.

Dylan is a famous rock-star and it's refreshing that Skye doesn't even know who he is, he can be himself which is something he hasn't been able to be in a long time.

Dylan and Skye are brought together by fate, two people who have the same childhood memories, two people who just want to discover who they are again.

The chemistry between Skye and Dylan was undeniable but once Skye found out who Dylan was and the life he leads, all her barriers were up and it was like a game of cat and mouse. Skye really frustrated me at times she was so indecisive and judgemental and also a little bit of a prude.

The push and pull kept me turning the pages, the on the off, the denial of feelings then the confession of feelings. Dylan was upfront about how he felt and Skye was just a bundle of indecision.

I would read book two, no doubt it will be the same on/off push and pull again, but I would like to see how it goes. The rest of the series I will have to see about that, none of the band members have given me cause to want to read their story's yet, Dylan doesn't even have a bond or seem to get on with them so that I will also have to see how it goes in the next book.

We written, set in the U.K SUMMER SKYE is a story that starts as a getaway, holiday romance and leads to more.
Told in first person dual pov. This is my first book by this author and although I felt it was long and some things dragged on a bit I would definitely read more from Lisa Swallow. ...more
