Shelves: rock-star, second-chances

5 Soul-mate stars.

"She and I are two parts of a whole".

"One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it"

It was the journey that made this a five star for me, the writing was smooth and easy to absorb and the characters moved me, I was moved with them, felt the heartache and the highs and Lowe's with them.
A heart warming and yet a heart breaking journey at times.

Told in two parts, Rose first meets Spider when she is just 11, it's late at night and Rose is in her sleepwear after e 5 Soul-mate stars.

It was the journey that made this a five star for me, the writing was smooth and easy to absorb and the characters moved me, I was moved with them, felt the heartache and the highs and Lowe's with them.
A heart warming and yet a heart breaking journey at times.

Told in two parts, Rose first meets Spider when she is just 11, it's late at night and Rose is in her sleepwear after escaping her mother's drunken or high boyfriend.
Spider who is 5 years older gives Rose money for food and his number if she ever needs help.

Skip forward a few years and Rose now 17 been in foster care and is adopted. This is still part one in this book.
After visiting friends Rose is on a plane to her adopted mother's and her new husband's home.
Spider and Rose meet again when seated on the same plane. Spider irritates Rose with his flirting and cockiness, she's a take no crap kind of girl. After flirting with Rose he then ends up having a quickie with an air stewardess in the loo while he thinks Rose is asleep. .

You could say Rose and Spiders reunion even though they don't know who each other are doesn't go down well but the connection is tangible.

The backstory for both characters doesn't go Into too much depth but Spiders man-whore ways and his distance from people is digestible with his past.

I suppose the shocker to this story should be Rose discovering Anne's new husband Robert is actually Spiders dad thus making Rose and Spider step brother and sister but it's so much more than a stepbrother romance and this isn't the main issue or story-line in this plot.

Part two is years later, Spider becoming a rock-star, his addictions, his regrets. Rose following her ideal career trying to forget Spider and going to College, moving on until they meet again.

I loved watching the growth in these two characters. Fighting their feelings for each other, the intimate moments and the heartbreak before the road to acceptance, to change and to a hea.

Another story were destiny is Devine.

In the plot it's Intense at times, more through being anxious for the characters more than anything, so there's a little angst and drama.

Cheating? yes sort of, Rose has a boyfriend when Spider returns.

FYI: Spider is a tough guy...but he also reads Jane Eyre. There's something super hot about an alpha male who digs literature.... swoooon right there!

I loved this book, I loved the journey.
Told in first persons dual pov.

Epic love

Finally!!! I have been waiting for Spider’s story since Dovie and Cuba’s. I am so happy that he found an epic love. It’s funny because I actually immediately thought of Dovie at the beginning when we met Rose. When Spider tells her that she reminds him of someone, I thought it would be Dovie, not himself. I was a little disappointed that there is no mention of or tie to his cousins. Especially because Rose would fit right in with them. I can already see them sparring in the gym. I’m re ...more

Not a rock star romance in my eyes, that element was too small. It was love at almost first sight, which annoys me way too much. But I liked parts of it.
