Shane is a trainee at damage contol the tatoo place with the band of brothers I've read so much about in this series but that bond doesn't flow through this read and sadly I missed it.

I loved the way the guys would fight or die for each other, support each other, that invisible tie of past pain binding them all together and each wearing a dragon tatoo to prove it.

Shane has the support of his half brother Seth then he meets Cassie but the bond I loved so much in the other books the banter the friendships isn't there much.


This solely focuses on Shane and his struggles his battles his insecurities and Cassie who also has her own insecurities, a past she is ashamed of and a determination to change the way her future is heading.

Shane no longer wanting to suffer in silence and Cassie no longer wanting to follow in the footsteps of her mother, they discover each other and learn to trust and fight together.

Shane:
She's part of why I wanna fight. Being with her makes my days brighter, the nights less dark.

A story of trust, hope, fighting demons, looking to the future and finding your first love.

There's angst and drama, heartwarming and heart tugging moments, hotness and a hea well sort of, it still felt incomplete to me? maybe I wanted to see more good things happening for Shane before I could settle calling it a hea.

Not my favourite in the series but filled with all the Jo Raven goodness I always enjoy.

She's my anchor, my sunlight, my girl.
