Cora is a fiery character I liked her. Her hang ups were not wanting to get hurt again while looking for Mr perfect.

Rome was anything but perfect he was a war hero, damaged with ptsd and Cora with all her colour burst into his life and took away the shades of grey.

It was a hot read & heartwarming. I needed more angst at times and more going on so Ile bookshelf this with my sunday reads because it was a good story.

This is my first Jay Crownover book, and I'm torn! To me, 3 stars are for books that I 'manage' to finish, books that I skim in parts, books that make me roll my eyes. This book can't possibly be a 3-star read! But it is, because all of the above apply to it. It wasn't the story or the characters that put me off - because I liked those - it was the writing style.
