After an event that had Liam in danger
Ruger persuaded Sophie to move in with him leaving no arguments like the Alpha male he was.

Sophie was attracted to him as he was to her but he couldn't promise one thing, to give up his one night stands and so the battle comences.

Drawn out and it got a little boring and I did start to loose interest but I stuck with it knowing they would get there in the end. Also it wasn't as hot as I thought it would be but was an ok read

Sophie loses her virginity at age 16 to the sleezy boy she is dating. Said boy is Zach Barrett - step brother to Jesse "Ruger" (at this point in the story he is just a prospect for the Reapers MC). Ruger walks in on the aftermath of the awkward first time in HIS apartment. He gets quite the eyeful of Sophie. Eight months later, Ruger's night is interrupted by his mom. Sophie is stranded at some party Zach dragged her to - eight months pregnant. Oh yeah, the condom broke. Ruger goes to retrieve Sophie and she ends up delivering her baby boy (Noah). Ruger is just struck with how perfect the baby in his arms is.

Seven years later...

24 year old Sophie is a struggling single mom. I think she works at a strip club either dancing or tending bar. Her world stops when she receives a voicemail from her son Noah. A man tried to touch him at her neighbor's house. The fuck. Sophie gets him home safe after she found him hanging out the window. The man is Devil's Jack.. Noah also called Ruger so he shows up in Seattle with Horse. Ruger informs her that Noah (his boy) is coming home with him. He's very possessive of Noah. Apparently Sophie and Ruger have some sort of set of rules when they are together. They both want each other but the idea of screwing things up for Noah keeps them in the game.

A war is brewing and the MC is on edge. This is not the best time for Sophie to acclimate with the club. Of course she meets the ladies and they are just great. Marie is marrying Horse soon. We get more of Picnic's daughter Em. Ruger and Sophie finally give into each other at the Reaper party. Sophie had every intention to make him claim her or set her free. Neither happened. Ruger learned that Sophie planned Zach catching them together four years ago. He was abusive but never left marks, but that time he did so she was able to escape him. Ruger claimed Sophie but said he would still have girls on the side. The fuck.

Of course members of the Devil's Jack kidnap Sophie and Em. One of them posed as a guy that liked Em and she has not been the same since they escaped. Ruger realized that Sophie needed to be his and his only after she was missing. Amazing how being scared changes priorities. Sophie keeps Ruger at an arms length because the whole ordeal freaked her out. She freezes out everyone. Everything changes the night of Marie's bachelorette party. She comes home to find Zach in her home. Good hell. He says nasty shit to her and punches her in the stomach. He goes on to say he he's going to kill Noah. What does Sophie do..? Hits him repeatedly with an iron skillet until he's dead. She immediately calls Ruger to help. They FINALLY connect again right as the book ends. At the wedding, Ruger gives her the Old Lady speech. The epilogue was great. They were married and had a baby girl together. Sophie also had her own Harley - Marie was a bad influence.

Great read (4.5). Tore through this one quickly. I love my biker men all alpha and possessive. Good start for this sequel. Does not disappoint! Recommended read or sure. Enjoy Ms. Wylde's writing style and can't wait to dig into Em and Hunter's story next! ...more
