Another amazing read by Jordan. This story just blew me away

Carrie and Dancer have a history. Dancer served 2 years for killing a man who was attempting to rape Carrie. This book deals with some tough subjects but the way Jordan words it and explains the situations is phenomenal. This book had me feeling emotional at times from happy to sad to wanting to choke someone. Dancer was so frustrating at times but then so could Carrie.

How can someone overcome something that has invaded their soul? Ho

Poor Dancer!!! The things he's been through are touch... especially for someone like him I would think. These macho bikers, there are no other people in the world like them lol. Great story, but at times I wanted to shake the crap out of Dancer!! ...more

The heart wants what the heart wants

Carrie has loved Jacob (Dancer) since she was 5 years old.

Going into prison for saving Carrie from an attack results in Dancer being released a different man, bitter angry and broken.

Dancer is part of an mc with his brothers who are all in this series and are good characters.

Dancer not dealing with his issues treats Carrie like shit and this girl just keeps going back for more that part was a little frustrating? Carrie is a very meek gentle character.

I really enjoy Ms. Marie’s MC books. After reading the first book in this series I was excited to start this one. I love angst, it could be my middle name (it’s not). This book was replete with angst and emotional intensity. Unrequited love is one of my favorite tropes and I loved that aspect of the story. I will say that I really wish the hero appreciated the heroine more and that it hadn’t taken the heroine so long to put her foot down. Still, a great read!

Re-reading the series since I just picked up the newest book.
I love Dancer and Carrie. Dancer is broken once he gets out of prison and Carrie is a childhood friend who has loved him her whole life. Dancer was truly horrible to Carrie but with help from her new friends, they encourage her to hang in there and try to get through to him. This story picks right up from the last book so I encourage your to read the series from the beginning.
