4.5 stars. I didn't expect to like The Life and Death of Sophie Stark as much as I did. It was highly engaging and there is something about the characters and the weight of the story that suck you in. I think, overall, this novel is about people; about how we don't see ourselves for what we really are sometimes. That we are all flawed, selfish beings and can't assume to know someone or how they feel when we aren't inside their head.
