This is extraordinary! The sheer amount of work and variety of skills Lies has on display is amazing. Definitely read the author's note at the end to understand how he accomplished this. A great introduction to artwork at the MET, but also to different art mediums. I loved seeing the cat and mouse change as they ran from piece to piece. I'm worried committees won't know what to do with this based on the manual directions, but I really hope this is acknowledged for the marvelous work.

This book should win a Caldecott. Cat and mouse play a game of chase throughout famous paintings at a Met exhibit. Art is exquisite and none is done digitally. It’s all created by the illustrator using different art media such as oil, paints, glass, colored pencil, wood, and clay. Would be great to use with an art history class.
